Cac! Cac! Cac! Cac! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!
Well it finally happened. I’m finally at the stage where I am now disabled!
Seems spraining one’s wrist is a debilitating injury … no longer am I the freewheeling spirit! The ‘wheel’guy who goes anywhere & everywhere. And now I can’t even go out of the apartment! The problem began when I sat down on the couch the other day & put too much twist into an unplanned move … Our second floor apartment is accessible by stair-lift only & when you’re wheelchair user your hands /arms are your legs. I use these ‘faux legs’ to get on & off the bed, the couch, the star-lift, etc. so having full use of both hands/arms becomes extremely important!
Not at all like twisting an ankle where crutches can at least keep one be up & “oot n’ aboot”, as they say!! (It’s hard to imagine a one armed crutch would look like.) Now I’m unable to move without a great deal of effort, pain & discomfort. The thought of tackling the lift at the top edge of a flight of stairs induces crippling nightmares! To say nothing of being forced to go continuously in circles because I can only push the one wheel of my chair.
Oh well it could be worse
… my wheelchair could develop a disability too.
This also brings to mind the question; What do you call a disabled athlete who gets put on the ‘disabled list’?
Uill, gun tèid e gu math dhomh an-duigh.
Well, wish me luck for tomorrow …

Hi Reji,
What a drag! Hopefully you will heal quickly and get back onto the game card soon.
Best wishes,
