Mo dhia! Tha e tachairt an-seo cuideachd! My god! It’s happening here too!
So I crawls outta’me super warm bed this morning & what I do I find has happened? It’s become bloody cold in the apartment. 9°C ~ sheesh it’s only August 2nd not September 2nd. I dress accordingly knowing the sun will soon be warming everything up in quick order. And yup it does.
And I’m happy again …
Until I dropped into visit one of my new wheelchair friends up here in La Ronge & he was telling that the temperature in a northern Alberta town was 3°! So I figured fall must be arriving soon & then I remembered an article in this morning’s news announcing today as the first day of the Prince Albert SK Exhibition … an event similar to Old Home Week back on Prince Edward Island. Only without the horse racing…
And then the penny dropped, or should I say leaf! Old Home Week signifies the beginning of fall on the Island & it begins August 11. You can bet your Gold Cup winnings on fall starts too! And, it will here too so it seems here in northern Saskatchewan. ![]()
Oh well guess it just means that it’s that much closer to when the Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights start to become more vivid.
Uill, gun tèid e gu math dhomh an-duigh
Well, wish me luck for tomorrow …
