Uill bha mi aig an Gàidhlig TIP an t-seachdain seo chaidh. tha e uabhasach math.
Well I Finally made it to a Gàidhlig TIP (Total Immersion Plus) workshop! A whole day of Gàidhlig … Chan eil Beurla idir! No English at all! Well unless you left the workshop room to speak it or snuck into a corner for a quick confab.
The facilitator, Lodaidh MacFhionghain {Lewis MacKinnon} came over from Cape Breton for this day long session. It was exactly that I needed to kickstart my speaking abilities. And a great experience after so long of studying on my own. Both the facilitator & I were pleasantly surprised to find how much I had learned on my own.
What an inspiration for me to work even harder on my daily lessons. But actually hearing & speaking out loud seemed to allow me to actually think in Gàidhlig … well, almost but the day sure helped!
Uill, gun tèid e gu math dhomh an-duigh
Well, wish me luck for today …

Hi Reji, nice to have you back online. That workshop sounds inspiring. Speaking of “good life”, did you hear the news that David Clayton Thomas is confirmed for the PEI Jazz and Blues Festival? Looks like it will be a great festival!

Except for the more inclement weather we have down ’south’ it’s really great to be back home. And really great to be back in the active Gàidhlig community here on the Island! Have to mark the festival date on my calendar … would be interesting to meet up with David again … although it’s been almost 40yrs since our days in Yorkville.
